Oregon Camp Cedarbrook has many fun and exciting activities for campers ages 8-18. Canoeing, archery, drama, boatsmanship, nature craft, outdoor cooking, and fishing are just some of the daily activities offered.
Enjoy free-time every day by swimming or canoeing. You could grab a treat at the camp store, or play basketball with friends! You can also enjoy tubing behind a ski boat, play mini-golf, take a trip down the waterslide, hang out with friends or make crafts. The possiblities are endless!
Campouts for Grades 3-6
Campers ages 3-6 get to have a camp out where they cook meals over the campfire, sleep out under the stars, and have fun with counselors and friends. They also get to participate in our Extreme Adventures Activities, which they will sign up for when they come to camp! These activities are designed especially for them!
Out Trip for Grades 7 - 12
During the week campers (grades 7-12) get to go offsite for a campout as well as a fun activity of their choosing.
This years Out Trips are:
Whitewater Rafting or Kayaking: Forge the Deschutes River with YD Adventures, beware you will get wet!
Columbia Gorge Waterfall and Geocaching Exploration: Learn to navigate your way to hidden treasures with a GPS, as well as explore Oregon's Columbia Gorge Oneata Falls.
A Typical Day at Camp
Campers Rise & Shine: (45 min.) Campers get up, dress, and make their beds (some will take morning showers) and get ready for flag raising and breakfast.
Flag/Breakfast: (50 min.) Campers and staff meet at the flag pole for Flag Raising. Following Flag Raising, a sung grace, prayer, announcements and any special instructions are given before proceeding to the Dining Hall. Campers will be dismissed by cabin groups. Songs and announcements follow breakfast clean up before dismissal to Morning Watch.
Morning Watch: (15 min.) This is a quiet time for everyone in camp. Each camper and staff member selects a special place outside, where they can spend quiet time alone with God. Campers have booklets to guide them in this time.
Kapers: (25 min.) Everyone takes part in Kapers (camp cleanup). The primary objectives of Kapers are teamwork, cleanliness, and good stewardship of creation. This will include cleaning up the cabin and one assigned duty outside the cabin.
Activity One: (60 min.) Campers learn practical skills, discover new interests, uncover hidden talents, and often develop leadership skills as they progress in an activity of their choice.
Bible Exploration: (55 min.) A small group Bible study, as a cabin, held in the out-of-doors. Bible Ex is one of the things that makes Camp Cedarbrook unique.
Lunch: (40 min.) Each cabin enjoys our delicious and nutritious meals together eating family style.
Activity Two: (60 min.) See activity one.
Quiet Time: (25 min.) Everyone takes a break on his or her own bunk. The first half should be FOB (Flat On Bunk). During the second half campers may read, write letters, or talk quietly on their bunk.
Free Time: (120 min.) Campers may choose from a variety of activities -- swimming, boating, crafts, games, etc. The Camp Store is open for part of Free Time.
Store: Campers may make purchases with the money they banked at registration. A limited number of food items may be bought each day. No food is to be stored in the cabins
Cabin Time: (50 min.) Campers participate in an activity planned by their cabin counselor.
Supper: (55 min.) Served family style with cabin group.

Dessert/Snack: (15 min.) A yummy dessert or a snack is served outside the Dining Hall.
Divisional Event: (60 min.) A fun activity planned by the leadership of each age group division. This activity is designed to build camaraderie and team spirit among the campers, as well as provide a springboard to the following songfest and campfire talk.
Campfire: (30-45 min.) A wind down, cap off the day, time beginning with a Songfest and mellowing out to a devotional time around a campfire.
Cabin Devotions: (15 min.) Campers gather around in a cozy circle in their cabin, and share the cabin devotions, talk about things learned that day, and close the day in prayer.
Lights Out: All flashlights out, all on bunks, and all quiet.
